Here we share 5 Yoga Postures for Strength to help ease and prevent back pain. At Advanced Myotherapy we see so many people seeking treatment for back pain! We are constantly sharing methods and strategies for recovery, depending upon the cause of the pain.

Myotherapy and Massage can help speed up recovery and reduce muscle pain. Our focus however, is self care. This is what we feel makes all the difference!

While treatment can ease pain, there are many exercises that can help reduce and prevent recurring pain conditions.

Here we share a few stabilising Yoga postures that assist in back pain management. Often we share exercises that help stretch away the pain. Here we focus on gradually strengthening the muscles.

See our recent Back Pain video on instagram, for a few lengthening postures that can help alleviate back pain. These can also be used as a lovely warm up before moving into the following postures.

Often we find, after a period of inactivity… we need to work towards these postures, practicing them slowly, little by little before being able to maintain them for longer.

As with ALL exercise and Yoga training, practicing with a sound level of self awareness means listening to your unique limits and exploring only within that capacity, rather than comparing yourself to others.

Safety comes first! We recommend consulting your Physical Therapist or Doctor if you have any conditions that may impact your practice.

Aside from this, here are 5 wonderful strong Yoga postures. Each of these can go a long way in stabilising the muscles. Practicing there can help support back strength and mobility. This is a great way o help prevent pain and injury.
