Often you don’t know how much of a blessing something will be when you’re in the thick of it. But so many times you will hear people say that their greatest challenges have been their greatest gifts!

Just as there are two sides to every coin, you cannot have good without bad, bad without good or challenges without gifts! Yes the blessings are often in disguise, hidden quite well, but you will find them if you look properly!

What has your greatest challenge taught you about life for instance? And what gift has this given you? How has it empowered you? Made you stronger? Smarter, more determined…whatever it may be.

One such example of this is  one of our very own Myotherpists David. He underwent 2 knee reconstructions and suffered great pain from scoliosis in his previous corporate IT life! What this showed him was the importance of lifestyle ad habits…so much so that he had a complete career change! He also became an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant!

He became a Yoga teacher, Remedial Massage therapist and Myotherapist and literally turned his life around through self care!

What does this have to do with you? See, stress and quality of life have a HUGE relationship and more than that, our bodies coping mechanisms may not be so sustainable over time without a shift of mindset! It’s that old “attitude of gratitude” that’s so important!

Take the smallest of daily challenges and flip them first. Look for their purpose and gift. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll see the “yin and yang” in absolutely everything! It’s universal law! As simple as the sun and moon’s existence!

So take a weight off your shoulders. Literally! When the mindset shifts, the body really does reflect it! Begin looking for the beauty in everything! The blessings are ALWAYS there! This actually reminds me of the screen saver I have on my phone at the moment!

It’s a quote that says: “When it rains Look for rainbows. When it’s dark Look for stars”

Remember this next time your stress levels are high and you might find yourself feeling calmer quite quickly! I hope this little quote helps you as much as I have found it to help me. Remember it! And above all, take care!
